Basic Requirements

  • Registered TNB electricity consumer
  • Premises located in Peninsular Malaysia
  • Valid MyKad (individuals) or SSM registration (businesses)
  • Property ownership or lease agreement

Exclusions

  • Not currently on NEM (or willing to exit)
  • Not have existing solar self-consumption (or willing to terminate)
  • Not operate multi-tenant properties
  • Not have co-generation or back-feed systems

Domestic (Homeowners)

  • Single phase: Up to 5kW without technical study
  • Three phase: Up to 15kW without technical study
  • Larger systems require CCC/CAS approval
  • Adequate roof space for panel installation

Non-Domestic (Businesses)

  • Up to 72kW without technical study
  • Above 72kW requires CCC or CAS
  • Maximum system size: 1MW
  • Systems >72kW require ST generation license
